Install Your Printer Driver

Connect the printer to your computer or network, then install the manufacturer’s Windows driver before opening TopBridge.

Download and Launch TopBridge

Download the latest TopBridge installer from the self-service portal and complete the installation on the printing computer.

Select the Printer Type

Choose the correct printer language or connection type, including TSPL, ZPL or supported Brother printer models.

Brother support may install the required Brother component automatically when Brother is selected for the first time.

Run a Test Print

Select the intended printer, send a test label and confirm the label size, orientation, print quality and character output.

Fix Common Label Printing Problems

Check your Windows printer driver, TopBridge connection, printer language and label settings before sending another print job.

Why does my printer not appear in TopBridge?

Confirm that the printer is installed and visible in the Windows printer list. Check the USB, Wi-Fi or network connection, then restart TopBridge.

Why is the label size or orientation incorrect?

Make sure the label template dimensions match the physical label. Also verify the paper size, orientation and margins in the Windows printer preferences.

Why are multilingual characters printing incorrectly?

Check the selected charset or encoding for the printer language. TSPL and ZPL printers may require different charset settings for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic or other multilingual text.

Why was the job sent but nothing printed?
  • Confirm that TopBridge is open and connected.
  • Check that the correct printer is selected.
  • Clear paused jobs from the Windows print queue.
  • Confirm that the printer is online and loaded with labels.
Can TopBridge print to a network printer?

Yes. The network printer must first be installed and accessible from the Windows computer running TopBridge.

What details should I send to support?

Include the printer brand and model, Windows version, connection type, printer language, label size, TopBridge version and a screenshot of the issue.
